Welcome To My Home Page
This page will include some decent info (I hope) on my hobby of Shelby inspired cars through Dodge. I am not even going to try to go in as much depth as Dempsey's or Kanata's pages. If you want great in-depth info on these cars and some other goodies check my links page.

This picture is of my '86 GLHS#178 on the right, if you couldn't tell :),(Click on Pic to read about it) and a friend of our families '96 Dodge Viper GTS. I couldn't pass up the chance to take the picture of the two together, even though I will most likely be going to Hell for doing so :0

My Back Ground
I am 21 years old, which makes me one of the younger SD enthusiast. The way I got started into these cars started when my brothers first car was an '86 GLHS. I would see the car out in our driveway and see what most people saw, an ugly, four-door, economy car, that looked more Gremlin than Shelby. You have to have a little patience, I was only 10 at the time so... I never really paid much attention to it until I was about 16.

It was just about this time my brother totaled the car, and basically left it for dead. In my brothers defense, he had a LOT of problems with the car, especially in finding people that knew how to work on the car. Anyway, I was looking for a car that would be something that I would really enjoy, and it had to be in my price range. I really couldn't find anything, until my dad suggested I buy the totaled GLHS off my brother. To this day I remember what I said...I said nothing, I just laughed. After my dad explained to me what it was, and after I did some research on it, I wouldn't except anything else. Seeing the cars intresting history, and it's great potential just confirmed my decision.

After getting the body worked out, I had to try do to the engine that my brother wasn't able to do. Between both of us, we spent over 6 years trying to find some that would know what they where doing with the car. Well, I met Keith Dale (that person) through the "INFAMOUS" SDAC Chicago Chapter! Keith is responsible for getting my car up and going. Besides the basic tech work, he has done some design/fabracating work on the GLHS also.(see about page) All I can say, I now enjoy the car like a lot of people wish they could.
My CSX-VNT
I am happy to say I have just recently became a proud owner of '89 CSX-VNT#137. I have been driving the car daily. I just recently bought the car form a guy I kind of knew, that lives about 10 min form me. When I say kind of knew, he is good friends with my best friends brother. Not TOO big of a stretch. He had just bought the car, and had realized he didn't have enough time to take car of the car. So he offered it to me, a person that knows what it is, and someone that will take care of it. The car has 51,000 miles it, but the car sat outside by the "ignorant" original owner for some time I believe. Just to give you an idea of what I mean, he removed the Fiberide wheels and did what with them...that's right, THREW THEM AWAY! Not to mention removing all the decals and gold trim around the car. The one good thing, not necessary though, was he put in an A-568.
The car has the factory Recaro seats. Over all the car is in nice shape. It just has some wear, and needs some odds and ends. I have posted some pictures finally.

SDAC CHICAGO
If you are at all familiar with the different chapters of the SDAC, the Chicago chapter has a "reputation," whether it consists of having Paul Smiths fastest Dodge Caravan(12.65@105.44),Tom Beranek's very fast stick SC('86 SC 11.84@120,)or Alex Macevicius' '87 GLHS running 12.15@117 on the STOCK intercooler,or just plan having great drivers and cars, to having streakers wearing only a slick and a helmet at SDAC 10, there is indeed a reputation.
